A.R.T. Exhibit at the Broken Arrow Museum

In early Spring of 2017, we will be exhibiting in The Broken Arrow Museum. We will be featured in the Museum from February 15th to March 25th.  The Museum will handle all sales and will charge a 30 percent commission. 
For this exhibit, all pieces should be created from the theme:  What About Broken Arrow
There is a limit of one entry for each artist, the maximum canvas size is 16 x 20.        There will be no entry fee for this show. Artwork for this show may be Originals or high-quality Giclees and must be “family appropriate.”  
 Gallery Wrapped Canvas (1 ½”) deep are acceptable and preferred if the artwork’s image continues around the sides and the piece is wired and ready to hang.  All Framed art must also be ready to hang with wire on back (no saw tooth hangers).  
To be eligible to enter, you must be a member of Alpha Rho Tau Civic Art Association               and have your dues paid two months prior to the deadline of 02/10/2017.

A.R.T. Annual Members’ Judged Art Show 2016
Nov. 7, 2016 – Nov. 30, 2016
The Hive 
 115 South 1st Street. Jenks, OK
This year we will be exhibiting in The Hive, a 3400 sq. ft. gallery in downtown Jenks.   We will be featured there through the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.  The Hive will handle all sales and will charge 30 percent commission. The Hive prefers that all entries be for sale.                 Please state a price reflecting the current market value for your artwork.
All pieces entered should be 2D Fine Art created in the last 3 years.  This is a judged show and all artwork that has been given A.R.T. awards or a People’s Choice award cannot be entered in this show. The Exhibits Committee will be responsible for hanging all art work.
 All entries should be framed and ready to hang with wire; no saw tooth hangers.  Artwork for this show must be original (no giclees), and “family appropriate.”  Gallery Wrapped canvass      (1 ½”) deep are acceptable if the sides are painted and the piece is wired and ready to hang.    All paintings must have the following information on the back of each entry:  Title, Medium, Price, Artist’s name, and Phone number. For this show, the limit of entries for each artist is 7 pieces, with space for 5 oversized pieces (anything 30 x 30 or more).        The non-refundable entry fee is $15.00 for the first piece, $5 each up to 6; oversized are $15 for the 1st piece and $10 for additional over-sized works. 
BONUS:  To all of you, who have volunteered for A.R.T. this year, THANK YOU!  We appreciate you helping the club so, your second entry is FREE!

Alpha Rho Tau
ART IN THE SQUARE
Utica Square Shopping Center   Saturday, Oct.1, 2016
Fall is in the air and that means it’s time for Utica’s ART IN THE SQUARE!  This is an outdoor show, so please check the weather forecast before coming out to spend your time in our booth. All entrants must spend 1 hour manning our booth and please indicate on the entry form if you prefer morning or afternoon.  The schedule will be made up accordingly by Ken Brown and will be available on line after our deadline.
This show will enable you to show both originals and giclees of 2D Fine Art.  Two is the maximum number of entries per member.  The entry fee will be $10 for 1 piece and $5 for the second piece.  The maximum size for this show is 11 x 14, framed.  Be sure to attach the Title, Artist Name, Phone # and Price on the back of your two pieces entered in the show.  When applicable, Plexi-glass should be used instead of glass for safety. To be eligible, you must be a member of good standing and volunteer 1 hour at the A.R.T. booth.  
 Deadline for the Utica Square Show is our meeting on Sept.19th.
You can avoid the rush and send your completed entry form and fee to Shelly DePriest, 3131 W 171sr Street, South Glenpool, OK 74033 before Sept.19th.

A.R.T. meets the third Monday of each month at 6:30 pm, March thru November at the Hardesty Library, 8316 E. 93rd St. (93rd & Memorial). There is a program at each meeting presented by artists either giving a demonstration of a particular medium and style or providing a talk about some aspect of art such as concept, composition, values, chroma, or edges. We engage artists from the local area, across Oklahoma and surrounding states. Our Exhibit Chair provides numerous opportunities for members to exhibit their art in various venues in the local area. Come join our membership of over a hundred strong and get involved in the Tulsa art community, sharing our love and appreciation of art.

Alpha Rho Tau Woody Guthrie Show
INSPIRATION
June 3, 2016 – 6pm – 9pm
Woody Guthrie Center, 102 E Brady St N, Tulsa, OK
We have been offered the opportunity to show our work in the Woody Guthrie Center in downtown Tulsa.   We will be featured in their center for the First Friday Art Crawl Event in the Brady Arts District. The center will take 10 percent of sales.   All pieces will be for sale and all art work must be painted from of one of the ten songs listed by the Woody Guthrie Center.  They are listed below:
1. This Land, 2. Oklahoma Hills, 3. Pastures of Plenty, 4. My Dolly,  5. Hard Travelin’, 6. So Long It’s Been Good to Know You, 7. Gran Coulee Dam, 8. Bound for Glory, 9. Put Your Finger in the Air, 10. Mail Myself to You
Choose a song from the list and create a piece of fine art from it.  You can use the entire song or you can base your art on a single verse or line.
To be eligible to enter this show, you must be a member in good standing and have your dues paid by ART meeting March 21, 2016. The entry deadline for the Woody Guthrie Show is our April ART meeting on April 21st.  Entries & fees can also be mailed to our treasurer, Shelly DePriest at 3131 W 171st St S, Glenpool, OK 74033

Since space is limited, only one entry is open for each artist, with a maximum canvas size of 16 x 20 and a minimum of 9 x 12. All art work will be judged by the visitors at the center.  The top three places will be on exhibit in the foyer of the Woody Guthrie Center for June. All others will be exhibited at This Land Store until June 20th and they will take 20% of sales.  Each entry must be “gallery ready” with picture wire on the back and the artist’s information.  The non-refundable entry fee is $15.00.  
A.R.T. Exhibits Committee will be responsible for hanging and arranging the exhibit.  Every effort will be made to display each piece of art work favorably.

We have been offered the opportunity to show our work in the Gallery in the Performing Arts Center in downtown Tulsa.   We will be featured in their gallery for the month of May, and the PAC will not take any percentage of sales.  All pieces will be for sale and all art work should not have been in any Alpha Rho Tau art shows for the last two years.  
To be eligible to enter this show, you must be a member in good- standing and have your dues paid by ART meeting March 21, 2016. Dues and entries can be sent to Shelly DePriest, 3131 W 171th St S, Glenpool OK 74033
