Grand Prize Winner of the 2012 International Plein Air Competition United States Showcase “Master Painter of the World”, Senior Artist Designer for Hallmark and Day Spring Cards; Todd will do a slide and lecture giving insight into methods of making a great painting.

Kelli Folsom: “Painting the Dramatic Still”
Kelli is featured as Editor’s choice for upcoming talent in the March 2013 edition of Southwest Art Magazine.  Kelli will demonstrate painting in the chiaroscuro tradition by way of “alla prima,” or working wet into wet. She will speak about how to achieve a maximum amount of depth and brilliancy of light, maintain rich color and achieve a sense of air in the painting through this technique.

Internationally renowned artist, known simply as COTTI, will explain his artistic style and the techniques upon which he draws to create oil paintings commissioned by Orson Welles, Marlene Dietrich, and others. Cotti will be doing a live demonstration of a portrait in oil.

Chris Wehner: “The Photographic Inspiration of Art”
Grand Prize Winner of Canon’s Nationwide contest “Project Imagin8ion” with Ron Howard, photographer Chris Wehner shares his unique experience, turning a photo into a piece of art that can inspire and move you.  Using HDR photography, Chris captured mood and emotion which inspired Ron Howard and his daughter Bryce Dallas Howard to write and produce the 25 minute short film “When You Find Me,” which Chris will bring to show at this meeting.
