Alpha Rho Tau Newsletter February, 2012

You are getting more than a box of chocolates this Valentine’s Day!

We’re LIVE!

Kudos to our new Web Wizard, Bill Oswald!  He worked his magic on our website and it is fabulous.

Our website,, has a new look and new functionality for 2012.  The site may also still be accessed with the address.

On our website the monthly newsletter and information about shows and exhibits in the local area are now featured as regular blog entries in the column on the right side of the page.  Many of these entries invite you to click to read more detail and some contain links to documents with more information such as exhibit information sheets and entry forms.  Older posts can be accessed from the Blog Archive and Categories menus located on the lower left of the screen.

On the website, if the Blog Archive looks like that shown below, click the black arrow in front of the year, or the year to expand the list of archived posts.

The Categories links works a little differently. Clicking on them opens the relevant posts in the column on the right side of the page.

The left hand column features links to “Pages” such as the Alpha Rho Tau Gallery, Club Information, 2012 Programs, 2012 Shows & Exhibits, Membership Application and Show Entry Forms.

The Alpha Rho Tau Gallery page contains a slideshow of photos or digital scans of paintings submitted by our members.  We would love to add your paintings to the Gallery.  You may submit images by email to Bill Oswald at  Please include the title of the painting and your name as you would like it to appear.  Also let us know if you would like to delete an image currently posted in the gallery.

The ART website is for you to share information about your art and art interests. Send Bill an email with links to 1) web image galleries you have established for displaying, promoting or marketing your work, 2) news about area art shows and exhibits in which you or other members in good standing are participating, and 3) suggestions.

Exhibits Chairman, Norman Dietert, has booked a spring show for us!  A.R.T. Fest has a fabulous spot to exhibit our artwork and a location with tremendous potential.

YES…giclees! There will be an entry fee of $10.00 for each piece, but the good news is…there will no commissions. The deadline is April 16th. The information sheet and entry form for A.R.T. Fest can be printed from our new website at
