Hubert Pollock was voted by the Board members as the honorary member of the Alpha Rho Tau organization at the Board meeting on January 5th, 2015.

Congratulations Hubie!

On December 20th, 2014 the Tulsa World newspaper published an article about Hubert Pollock.  Hubert loves visiting the Woodward Park in Tulsa to do sketches for his paintings. He used to sketch cherubs and the water fountain in the park. In 2011 he noticed there were missing statues he used to sketch. He reported that to the park’s managers and to the police. No one was arrested. The statues were over 50 years old. The park could not afford to replace the statues, so Hubert decided to personally replace the statues, which he agreed to donate.  He provided sketches and the local artist Denise Ford sculpted them and they were cast in New York City. They were installed in the triangular plot near 21st Street and Rockford Avenue at the beginning of December with a ceremony.

What a wonderful member of ours! Thank you, Hubert.

Next General Meeting is March 16, 2015 at Hardesty Regional Library
