Co-Exist Exhibit

Here is an opportunity for some of our members to show at another venue - the All Souls' Unitarian Universalist Church. Note that there are some specific requirements for submission on CD certain formats. See the full details in the attached flyer.

Note that this is not an Alpha Rho Tau show.  We are sharing this with you in case some of you would like to participate.

WINTER ART EXHIBIT SEEKS WORK BY OKLAHOMA ARTISTS

Original work by any artist who is not a full-time student may be entered into the Co-Exist exhibit by January 27, 2012.

M. Teresa Valero, applied associate professor of art and graphic design and former Director of the School of Art at the University of Tulsa, will serve as guest curator of the Co-Exist exhibit which showcases works that represent the theme of existing together at the same time or in the same place.

To qualify, work must be original, created within the last 18 months, and ready to hang or display.  Entries can be no wider than 24-inches, finished and framed. There is no entry fee. Work will not be accepted from full-time students.

Artists may submit a maximum of two photos of each piece entered. Entries must be on CD. Artists may submit up to two entries. The CD must include the images and a document that describes - in two or three sentences, maximum - the title of each work, medium, and processes the artist used to create each piece.

Entries must be postmarked on or before January 27, 2012, and mailed to Jan Eckardt Butler, 7803 S. 28 West Ave., Tulsa, 74132. Receipt of entries will be confirmed via email. An entry form will be included with the receipt and must be attached to the back of each piece accepted into the show.

Each image must be a minimum of 5-inches by 7-inches, in .jpg format, RGB, at 300 dpi. Images will not be re-sampled from a lower file size. Each file must be labeled with the artist's last name, title of each work, and primary medium. Entries that fail to follow these guidelines will not be considered.

Artists whose work is chosen for Co-Exist will be notified by February 6.  Each accepted piece must be delivered to the church between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, February 10.
