Ziegler's is hosting an exhibit of work by the Whiteside Portrait Painters, including portraits by several Alpha Rho Tau members.
The exhibit runs from Friday, August 17 through Friday, September 28, 2012 at Ziegler's Art Department building at the corner of Admiral and Gillette Ave rather than at the main building at the corner of Lewis and Admiral.
An opening reception will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm on Friday, August 17.

Art In The Square
Art in the Square, Utica Square, will be Saturday, October 6, 1212 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Alpha Rho Tau will participate as in the past with a display on the sidewalk. The deadline for entry is August 20th. Below is a copy of the time line and instructions for the show.

Entry forms will also be available at tonight's meeting for those members who do not have e-mail or have difficulty opening attachments.
By way of reminder, the location of our meeting tonight has been moved to the Pecan room on the west side of the library.

We are so blessed to have wonderful members like Nancy Swindler! Her amazing donation of $500.00 to the scholarship fund will enable us to offer two scholarships to deserving art students.
Door Prizes
Congratulations to Loretta Bialy for winning Nancy Swindler’s floral and Delores Wadsworth for winning Roses by Nancy Hill. Jim Reynolds won the bonus raffle prize; a terrific easel donated by Greg Motto. The framing of our door prizes is by Jacque Gonzales, courtesy of Ziegler’s. Our door prizes for July are a darling country church by Delores Wadsworth and a delightful rooster by Joyce Peace. Be sure to sign in for your winning chance!

The next meeting of Alpha Rho Tau will be held at 6:30 Monday evening, July 16th at the Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St., Tulsa.
We will be meeting in the Pecan Room on Monday, July 16th. Just take a right after you enter the library and you will see the Pecan Room. If you are sharing one of your new paintings, please remember we have only a short time to discuss it.

Sharon Allred, July 5 - 31st with opening reception Thursday, July 5th
Sharon Allred has an exhibition of her work this month at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center located at 621 E. 4th Street in Downtown Tulsa. The exhibit opens Thursday, July 5th with an artist reception from 6 - 9 PM. The reception includes food, wine and a door prize of her art.
